What does “MARSYA~SOPHIE~IRDINA” means..?

Hmm..as many people keep asking us what are the meaning of our girl’s names, Marsya Sophie Irdina, thus I wish to explain her names which we had selected right after we knew our baby’s gender. Marsya and Sophie are internationally popular – worldwide and each name has a very pure meaning in Arabic words. While Irdina is a name that I really admire ever since I got married.

Marsya – was originally come from Greek word, which means “warlike”. This doesn’t means we want her to be a bigmouth laser person, taking it in the bright side, we do hope our girl could be very aggressive in protecting her words against abusive attitude. I even check this “Marsya” utterance in Muslim’s names. Marsya means “subur”. The warlike meaning is spelled as M.A.R.S.H.A and we selected M.A.R.S.Y.A according to Arabic word that has a very untainted significance and even softer. Anything else related to Marsya? YES! I love to read an E-Bay for dummies book during my pregnancy period. The author’s name is Marsha Collier (who is so brilliant). I found this name is so pretty, then I suggested to hubby. Thereafter, we started to find its meaning. NO! Nothing related to Marsha AF3 pleaseeeeeeeee.

Referring to ancient Greek words, Sophie means “wisdom”. The synonyms for wisdom are understanding, knowledge, insight, perception, astuteness, intelligence, acumen as well as good judgment. In Islam, Sophie is pronounced as Sofi (that means beautiful and attractive) or Sufi (soft, or intelligence, religious person, e.g.: ahli Sufi). I adore the S.O.P.H.I.E spelling because I love to read the Sophie’s Kinsella popular books – The Shopaholic series, hehe (where it refers to my habit a lot ;p ). Additionally, hubby wanted to make our girl’s middle name look bombastic, thus we choosed S.O.P.H.I.E.

We selected I.R.D.I.N.A as it means “our pride” (in Arabic language). Our daughter is our pride. We ought to protect her, giving all unended love, give her everything the best we could. We wish to remain this name to upcoming daughter, if again we had a princess.

I always heard, Marsya Sophie Irdina is such as long name. It’s a baby trend nowdays to have more than one name. Despite of its meaning, we call our girl “Sophie” as she is a truly beautiful baby. All mothers in the world always find their babies are the cutest in the planet and it is sooooo like me. To tell you, choosing a name for our baby wasn’t easy as saying ABC. It took many times discussion even quarrel with hubby. Finally, like she was destined since “azali”, Marsya Sophie Irdina has finally live in the real world. We love her so much, inevitably.
