Every time we dine, munch, chew, or whatever terms used to translate the “eating” habit, Sophie will stare at us and she ends up salivating. So pity little girl! She just 4 months old plus and maybe not ready to digest any solids since her stomach hasn’t well develops.
Not only that, she also loves to lick her fingers, as well as sucking all her fingers inclusive the thumb in her mouth aggressively. If too long sucking, then she jingles the “ weeeeeeekk” sound of vomiting like a bulimic someone. Wow, she is actually showing the signal of food hankering! In her mind, I can tell she is saying these: “ I’m hungry. I want to eat like YOU DO!”~ Doesn’t she? ; p
I would love to give her some foodstuff to taste but in the end, I’m afraid if anything bad might happen. Hehe, we’ve tried that, and that specific night, she got colic and cried all out unbearable swinging her arms and legs. (Eermm, nothing much as it was just few little drops of fresh grape juice. No sugar! We were definitely guilty weren’t we?) Yeah, I must say I REGRET! .

I’ve put my eyes on few of baby’s articles at where some captions indicate that we could start feeding our baby with introductory blended soft-foods at the earliest age of 4 months old. But still I got doubts to do the effort.
Copy paste from a website, here are some signs to determine whether a baby is ready for cereals.
“Usually, doctors recommend that one can start giving the baby cereals between 4-6 months. Whatever you do, don’t rush your baby into having cereals just because he/she is four months old.”
Ermm, I’ve been longing to buy infant cereals, infant cookies, Gerber food jar, etc but most of these stuffs are actually for 6 months over growing babies. The above statements are very convincing and prove that I could actually try to nourish her with plain solid food at this age stage. Why not give a try? See, if I could buy them pretty soon.
Thank you for reading my posting and if you have any suggestion, opinion or feedback, please leave me some comments about how you feed your baby, food recipes, or is it a must for me to feed Sophie now? Or any other views that benefits. I really appreciate that!
Gracias. =). Astalavista.

Hi…i’m ur silent reader…suke masuk ur site coz ur baby girl is adorable
I hv a 5 mos 1 week old baby, she started weaning at 4 mos 3 weeks. I bg dia mkn Heinz jarred baby food. Ade yg utk 4-6 mos, i guess that one is more refine n safe for ur baby first solid food.
Once u open the jar, u hv to finish it within 48 hours. So sometimes klu x abis tu, i makan la…rugi kan? hehe…nway, i think u shld taste watever food u want to feed ur baby beforehand coz mane la tau d food dh basi ke (altho the expiry date is still long way to go). Just to take some extra precaution kn?
I fed her Heinz Farley’s Rusk too. Ada yg utk 4-6mos, not the same as the normal Farley. I beli kt Cold Storage, not sure other place ade jual ke tak.
Nway, gud luck with the weaning! I’m sure u’ll enjoy ur feeding session wif ur baby!
