Perak TRIP—Ipoh mali..Ipoh..Ipoh mali..

We went to Ipoh last Friday, stayed in Lucky Hotel until Sunday afternoon. In two consecutive nights, we had dinner at Restoran Nasi Lemak Ayam Kampung. For a set of 5, with mouth watering meals and dishes plus affordably cheap price ~ who can resist?  I will come again soon..not knowing when, but it’ll be soon..yeahhh ( akibat gelojoh makan, we did not snap any pic. in that restaurant..huhuhu..i regret..truly regret!)

U’ve got no chance to see us in any places of interest as we didn’t visit to any of it! Time limited! We were actually accompanying Tok Mummy and Tok Daddy to Perayaan Hari Koperasi Malaysia. Not going to any of best places  that we were supposed to, so all pictures were about us, us, and Sophie….hehehheh

Sophie:The EATING and Development Milestones stories..

Mama is not that lazy in paying attention too much on computer screen typing about life..life..and life however there are so many works..works..and works to do. The busiest time ever happen since my responsibility been upgraded. whewww

Last posting, mama told you about Sophie’s tendency that getting very fanatical into tasting food. Right after receiving few sms and comments from the blog itself, mama and babah went to Giant, Kota Damansara bought some food jar and Rusk cookies for Sophie. We did the errands quickly and impatiently. Is any parent out there having the same feeling like us? ~ The really-wanted-to-see-our-baby-eat? After finished shopping, we headed to a ‘noodles restaurant’.

Bon Appetit Sophie!

Bon Appetit Sophie!

Guess what, Sophie had her first food in that restaurant, and obviously without a bib! A first to try was corn and pumpkin puree (Aju thanks for the recommendation!). The best part was that, Sophie didn’t spitting out the food when I spoon it in. She seemed so craving and eating like a very-long-time-waiting-sensations. As we never planned to dine in that restaurant, thus no bib, and Sophie kelihatan sangat comot! Haha ..Nowdays, other than formula milk, mama feed her with Heinz Rusk cookies, sometime pear, and apple juices. Sophie likes that. After she reaches 6 months, we plan to buy infant cereals. Wow, that’s her story about EAT-ing!

We went to Langkawi as my sister engaged previous Chinese New Year. This time we drove back to Kedah and no airplane. Seronok juge driving actually but very tiring! On Chinese New Year, Sophie reached 5 months old. Let us see her development milestone at this particular age….

Turning over her body: Ohh, she’s not only turning but also rolling I guess! Sometime Sophie straights up her hands like a chameleon maybe she is trying to prepare herself begin crawling.

Speak!: No more aa , oo, ee sounds but right now we could hear a very clear words uttered by Sophie..atatatata, blebla, muo, weblje buuui,,muuu ~ These are few examples of her “lingua franca” sort of but unfortunately we cannot identified hehehe..

Scratchy-grabby-graspy hands getting strong! : Oh no, her hands are so fast grabbing, grasping and scratching things around. Luckily, she loves touching our face gently. If not, can you imagine how our faces will turn to be?

Smiles to familiars, cries to estranges: Simply to say, she has recognized people. She becomes straightforwardly cries when other people take her up. However, as mama and babah are around, she won’t cry, if anybody holds her as long as in her house, she won’t cry. Phewwwww…Sophie can also smile back to people who smiles at her. She loves smiling. So cutey!

Books are her boo-boo: We have started introducing few books to her and Sophie likes reading, we can tell. Every night before sleep, she grabs her books on her bed, and tries to open one by one. Mama has started telling her a bedtime story as well. Nahhhhh, not a complicated one, but just introducing parts of human’s body. That’s what her book tells..hihi..Another thing is her Mr. Brownie Tells the Time book, which illustrated her Mr. Brownie in it. She loves looking at her Mr. Brownie in the book. Yah, mama should mention another Sophie’s beloved collection~ Gavin Grasshopper Went to a Fancy Party book that has a press button resonance of a grasshopper chirps! She will be doing the press-button job, and we love watching it.

We are planning to buy her some toys soon even though she has few now. Oh, till then..meet me in next entry about Sophie. Okies, continue to OFFICE WORK!

1st Anniversary and Raya Haji ~ The us recent stories..

1st anniversary - we love each other

1st anniversary – we love each other

Usually, as a busy working mama, again I have no precious space to spend my time blogging about the recent us. Many interesting stories to share, and perhaps I could remember them all at this moment. Hehe..

We went back to Langkawi on 4th Dec and Sophie has knowing well to feel boring sitting odd in the airplane. Thus, all the way 45 minutes journey, I got to sing her many songs to erase her boredom (Babah not with us as he was working on Friday, he came on Saturday by flight as well). No matter what, Sophie did behave well during take off and decent.

On 7th December 2008, we picnicked at Cenang Beach in celebration of our 1st anniversary. We brought Sophie to the beach purposely to let her feel the sea windy breeze and get touched with salty sandy water. Sophie seemed enjoyed sitting in her Barbie boat that shaking every time sea waves coming. She was too young to show her rejoice expression but we definitely knew it. Any frantic-romantic moments for both of us? Hmm..yes there was but biarlah rahsia.HEHE

On 8th, we had our Raya Haji with her wearing Baju Kurung specially tailored by Tok Mak. Whole family looked green! I ate a lot and lots more rendang, ketupat, lemang, RAYA foods, biscuits, cakes etc etc like a revenge on these food which were been prohibited during my confinement days. Thereafter, babah would just put his hands on his ears to pretend not hear me shouting when it came time to stand on weighing scale! Hehe

Us in green

Us in green

The finale day, we brought Sophie round around Langkawi, taking pictures. Unfortunately, the weather was very gloomy. Not many pictures could be taken. (No worries my dearies, we will be there again ya!)

After balik from kampung, we turn back to our working routine as usual. These hectic lives making me eagerly try to balance my life between personal and career. It’s not easy though! To be a dedicated worker versus a devoted mother is truly a challenging bet for me.

Talking about Sophie, she is almost 4 months now. She has filled our life with her smiling, habits, and cute actions. We can’t truthfully imagine how our living verves would be, without Sophie. Specially dedicated to Babah, thanks for being a very loyal and loving husband and completes my world. I love my family so much. Love babah and love Sophie. Alhamdulillah.

Life span~ Multiple stories for June and July

BERSALAH! That’s what I felt for the month of June and July 2008 since I wasn’t actively updating this blog. Ouhh, I myself was so busy with office works and additionally my “every-day-growing-fat” physical and baby carriage had put more and more pooped into my hectic life. So, as I reluctant to be an indolent person in updating my own personal page, hereby I list down the recent activities (plus little kind of metaphors) that I have gone through with hubby n baby…

1. Balik Sandakan on 20 June 2008 – 23 June 2008

I don’t really like to tell about our unfortunate journey, as we had to delay our flight because of the “fit to fly” letter that we gained from Pusrawi already expired! Thus, we had to pay extra RM50 to get a new one and missed out our initial flight that supposed to be at 7.00 am in the morning. Wheww, kinda bushed waiting since 1.00 am in the morning until 2.00 pm. I even cried!

What best about this trip was that, we went to my in-laws new house – at where the “upacara-mandi- keturunan” was done. We both dressed in yellow kain batik, and sat on a small wooden pangkin decorated with yellowish colour then mandi bunga with 7 types of flowers, mayang kelapa etc. I can’t find the rational of practicing this adat, but definitely, I respect their local custom. To be truth, this upacara was done to celebrate our baby – who is the first granddaughter and great granddaughter of my hubby’s family.

2. Hospital Admission on 28.06.08 – 30.06.08 (Food poisoning)

Babah had resigned from his position in IBM and Alhamdulillah he got new job based in HP Damansara. Thus, his ex colleagues (Cam+ sister, Tanchu, Wan + couple and Syed) celebrated a farewell party at The Italiannies, The Curve on Saturday 28.06.08. We had plenty of foods, and of coz, Italian foods are non-separated with herbs and spices. Oh, we got a pressie – GAP babysuit from Cam. Thanks buddy!

After went home, I had a very greasy pain in my stomach like butterflies were flying here and there. I got diarrhea too and vomit almost every single minutes. On the same day, we were actually had to pack our things to move out from Kampung Baru to a new house in Kota Damansara. I couldn’t stand the increasing pain anymore and hubby then brought me to Pusrawi as we afraid if the pain could affect our baby.

As we arrived there, a nurse took me on a wheelchair and I got an injection for Diarrhea. Oh, the pain made me felt like I was going to deliver that time. After injection, I still suffered the throbbing cramp and doctor suggested that I should be warded. 8 bottles drip were injected into my body to replace the loss fluid. 3 days life there were boring, but thanks to my friends, hubby and family for the visit, care and support. Special thanks to Babah lah, because he was the one who ran from Kg. Baru and Damansara for the move out business. He even missed out the Euro finale match because of my pain and the transfer. Babah, mama really appreciate your SACRIFE!

I got MC until 2 July 2008. During my hospitalization, nurses came to check me n baby’s condition every 4 hours. Luckily, baby was fine.Alhamdulillah. Whewwww, Doctor concluded that herbs and spices had caused the food poisoning. (Errrr, is there any possibility the food poisoning was due to Machiato coffee that I drank before 2 glasses of iced lemon tea?) Whatever! Oh, then I shall not step my feet to the Italiannies anymore! .

3. 7th Check Up Experience on 5 July 2008

Ha, I really like to tell the story of our check up. This time, our Gynea had been changed from Dr. Daud to Dr. Salleh. Dr. Salleh was the one who supervised me during the hospital admission and he is a specialist too. So, an initial appointment that supposed to be on 1 July was then changed to 5 July 08. (Remember, I was still warded on 1 July). Through the ultrasound screen we saw our baby yawning 5 times, like she was so sleepy and ermmmmmmm she was so adorable! Dr. Salleh even laughed looking at her and Babah too was super excited eyeing at his daughter. As I had reached 8 months of pregnancy, the next appointment was scheduled on 19 July 2008.

4.Gathering at Kak Ida’s house on 6 July 2008

Kak Ida, my ex colleague celebrated her birthday and Aqil little son plus a gathering for all of us. Who attended the makan2? Aju, Abg danny and newborn Adeef + Nadhiah, Kamal and little princess Putri and niece Qasrina, + Kak Lin + Me n hubby + Adam’s family + Myra and Ganesh (my ex boss hehe). I went there not for eat (steamboat, cakes, pudding etc etc delicious foods ermmmmmm) but to meet my best buddies in Pacnet. Hopefully, we could gather again some time. Yeahhhhhhh, I lurve the parteyyyy.

5. 8th Check Up Experience on 19 July 2008

I was at 8 months plus. Huhu, my baby bump is now more than obvious! Our recent check up showed that the baby was sound asleep, only that I could see her hand doing was same like me. She weighted 2.058kg. Hehehe, I gained 14 kg overall during these beauty-filled months. Hopefully, she won’t be too big, as I planned to give normal birth. InsyaAllah.

That’s all folkies. Wheww, finally I could finish up typing the major events that had happened in my life lately. Not to mention here, the bad day I went through when I had to clean the new house (hehe, still sick that time), the “broke-down-car” day, etc etc. To finalise, I am now reaching the finale months of pregnancy. What my next days would be like????

Balik kampung on 10 May 2008

Yey..nothing to do at office now plus boss not yet coming! I nak pull out reader’s attention on our vacation to Langkawi (actually balik kampung ahaha). I was really homesick, so in April I pujuk hubby nk jugak balik kampung. Hubby agreed and that time Air Asia was promoting their free tickets. After book, we only paid RM 283.00 for 2 pax. We departed from LCCT on Saturday 10 May 08. I was extremely excited! Yelah, that was baby first time balik kampung mama (last time visit was on our wedding Dec 2007). Can u imagine, almost every month we travel. January to Sandakan, February nowhere, March again to Sandakan, April to Malacca. Thus, let’s May be the month for balik kampung!

I was actually balik kampung to taste mangga yang tok wan bb planted in front of our house! The manggo taste is so different from any find in market. The seed was taken from India..isi buah mangga ni sedap sangat! Other than that, I was also craving my mom’s cooking specially sambal ikan bilis petai..ahak ahak..So masa sampai jer kat rumah, makanan yang dihidang sangatlah banyak..Hubby pon penat nak makan. My sister pulak went to pasar malam bought satey, bihun sup utara, etc etc foods.

The weather was so different in Langkawi –> hujan and sejuk that time, bestnya tido time hujan (tido dlm bilik pengantin lagi..ngehehehe). On 11 May, we both send tok mak ngn tok wan bebi together with Pack Cik bb (my bro Firdaus) to jetty Kuah. My brother got pursues his study in Matriculation College somewhere in Kuala Nerang. His registration day was on 12 May, so my parents wanted to overnight in Alor Star.

After that, we went to Pantai tanjung Rhu because babah never been there. Ambil gambar jerlah. Malu lah nak post the picture because my baby bump dah obvious..huhuhu.. Malam tuh, we both brought my sisters Ina and Linda to Cenang. Makan – makan tepi pantai. Takdelah sedap sangat, sebab malas masak makan kat luar lah..heheh. Babah nak balik awal coz he wanted to watch the final match of MU. Nasib baik MU menang huhu.

Esoknya, we went shopping kat Idaman Suri – -> beli pinggan mangkuk . Ceramic made gold flower pattern. Haha, beli and simpan for our new house. Petang tuh we went to langkawi Parade makan Merrybrown..pastuh shopping chocolates then lepak jer kat rumah.

Our flight was at 10.00 pm..around 9 pm we moved to airport..huhu sedih.. …. Arrived home around 2 am in the morning..Hmm it’s was such a short stay..but untuk lepaskan homesick mama, kira okaylahhhh

Malacca Tours and Honeymooning Trip

On Saturday 5th, hubby and me (including my baby love inside hehehe) went to Malacca juz for a visit (honeymooning). We spent 2 days one night at Orchid Hotel, exactly in Malacca Town. I never know that there are so many places of interest in Malacca. We just discover the fascinating of visiting the State once we stepped to this land. Many pictures were taken at The A Famosa fortress, The Stadthuys, Christ Church, St. Peter’s Church, Dutch Graveyard, Jonker Street, Museum and etc. The monuments are so adorably unique. We both were extremely rejoiced!

Yeah, when we had too much laughter, it will invite unwelcome bad feeling. Yes, it always happens to us! Huhuh..after arrived at hotel that Saturday evening, babah noticed that his mobile phone was missing. We believe that it might be dropped off or fallen from his Levi’s pocket on our trishaw ride trip. This is his second time losing handphone whenever he wore that Levis pants. We didn’t take any effort to search that trishaw rider. If he was kind enough, why should he off the handset? If he was kind enough, he will definitely try to find us or call us loudly since after that ride we spent 15 minutes to buy things around the trishaw park in front of Stadhuys. Huh..!

On that night, babah’s face seemed a little saddened but he tried not to show it obviously. As a very understanding wife I try to cheer him up. We went out for dinner in Bandar Hilir, took the night fresh air and felt the Malacca night breeze. Wheww, so romantic! The foods were not so tempting! Maybe we went to wrong food stall. Then we went to “ Eye on Malacca”. Hehe..it was jus a small Merry-Go-Round. We dint dare to try! However, the night view was so beautiful with colorful neon sparkling at each of the nearest building.

The next day, we had free breakfast (inclusive in the room package) and after that we started packing our belongings. We checked out at 12.00 pm, then headed to the Maritime Museum. The Museum is basically constructed after ‘Flora De La Mar’, the Portuguese ship that sank off the coast Malacca on its way to Portugal. With its hull laden with invaluable treasures seized from Malacca, the ship was doomed from existence had it not for the efforts to revive its symbolic significance to Malacca’s heritage. It was a very super hot hot day! However, we managed to snap few pictures in the ship.

Our final destination was at Malacca Bazaar where we bought many key chains, t- shirts, cencalok, belacan and other gifts stuff. We waved a ‘bye bye’ at 2.00 pm. On the way back home, the road was jammed at Ayer Keroh due to Sure Heboh carnival in MITC. We were too exhausted to drop by at the carnival and thought of Monday is a working day, hubby drove directly to KL. We reached home at 5.00 pm. If not because of the road congestion on the highway, we might reach earlier than that. Though, we lost our precious things but it was so fun to visit Malacca.!
