Our 9th check up on 9 August 2008 ~ Congrats Awa for the arrival of her charming baby boy Qaid Uwais on 08.08.08

Awa and Qaid
Awa and Qaid

I received sms from Awa that she had safely delivered a baby boy at 7.22 am in the morning on Friday, 08.08.08. It was a normal child birth. Awa was my best friend (she is still =)) back in our primary school (standard 3 and 4). We used to be close friends hanged out together, playing around at beaches, the frequent visitors of saloon kak Anita à(we even had Siamese name too!!), spent our times on arcade video games and etc. Time flies so fast and now, both of us has become a mother. Obviously she is but my turn will come soon!

Since my pregnancy has reached to its final stage, the check up has to be done on weekly basis. This week on 9 August 2008, my body increased 300g and our baby weighed is approximately 2.5kg. I got another injection and this made the tetanus immunization completed.

Just nice we were there as Awa delivered her baby at Pusrawi too. After check up, we went to Post Natal ward (Wad Annur) to visit her. I met her parents in law as well as her husband and we stopover there almost 2 hour’s chit chatting. They gave us advices to book room the earliest possible as they had a very bad experience on getting a room that day. Hence, babah had a lesson to consider about mama’s hospitality once mama gets ready to deliver the baby. =)

We went home thereafter. A huge of hope appear in my mind to have a safe journey of delivery.

NEW Update! Our 8th check up at Pusrawi on 2 August 2008 ~ My recent body’s conditions.

Mama woke up early today coz remember our 8th check up appointment is at 9.30 am! Mama has reached 35 weeks of pregnancy and now prepared to do the countdown. Nothing much for today, only that I gained another superfluous 500 gm (but taking it in my contemplation, this is the weightlessness increment ever happened during my pregnancy =)), and our baby weight is already 2.3kg. Hihihi..kecik kecik comeynya anak mama.Tok mummy dh pesan don’t eat rice regularly or porridge coz nanti baby besar. Mama pegang prinsip tuh, sehinggakan baby mama nyer growth (specially the weight lah) naik sikit2 jer..huhuhu. Betol kot, orang kata kalo baby kecik senang beranak nanti.InsyaAllah.

I have started to feel the false alarm a.k.a Braxton Hicks. It is sort of mild contraction but not hurting. When I stand on feet walking for few minutes pun I can easily notice a tightening of my abdomen for few seconds. Keras..keras rasanya di perut tuh…At first, I was so confuse to differentiate whether that was my baby movement or Braxton Hicks..hihi. But since it has continuously ensued, I can now recognize what my belly is responding to.

Now, nak berjalan pon tak larat tapi Babah said mama is so active walking here and there kat rumah. Yaloh, coz mama still has to do the cooking, washing clothes, and etc housewife works kan babah kan? In fact, for myself, I can’t stand rest on sofa and watching TV. Entah lah, rasanye kalo duduk lelama lagilah sakit.

Another Preggo’s symptoms yang mama sedang rasekan adalah seperti berikut (skemanya ayat).

1. Sweating - Huh jangan cakaplah,! Even at night pusing kipas sampai maximum speed and sleep without blanket.

2. Hard to breathpenat, sebab perut dah besar!

3. Heartburn – Mama kena selalu minum Eveline Forte liquid (cam ubat gastric tuh) every time after taking spicy foods and chocolate. Kalo tak amik kena reflux. Huhu, so uncomfortable!

4. Leg cramps – Mama dah took calcium tablet, tapi still rase cramp specially waktu pagi. So, mama dah stop stretching kaki masa bangun tido. SUSU? Hehe, mama minum Anlene instead Anmum ..sebab susu Anmum tak sedap!

I can’t wait to give birth, but still think about the pain. Ishhh..cemanalah agaknya rasa sakit beranak yer! I’m scared!

Life span~ Multiple stories for June and July

BERSALAH! That’s what I felt for the month of June and July 2008 since I wasn’t actively updating this blog. Ouhh, I myself was so busy with office works and additionally my “every-day-growing-fat” physical and baby carriage had put more and more pooped into my hectic life. So, as I reluctant to be an indolent person in updating my own personal page, hereby I list down the recent activities (plus little kind of metaphors) that I have gone through with hubby n baby…

1. Balik Sandakan on 20 June 2008 – 23 June 2008

I don’t really like to tell about our unfortunate journey, as we had to delay our flight because of the “fit to fly” letter that we gained from Pusrawi already expired! Thus, we had to pay extra RM50 to get a new one and missed out our initial flight that supposed to be at 7.00 am in the morning. Wheww, kinda bushed waiting since 1.00 am in the morning until 2.00 pm. I even cried!

What best about this trip was that, we went to my in-laws new house – at where the “upacara-mandi- keturunan” was done. We both dressed in yellow kain batik, and sat on a small wooden pangkin decorated with yellowish colour then mandi bunga with 7 types of flowers, mayang kelapa etc. I can’t find the rational of practicing this adat, but definitely, I respect their local custom. To be truth, this upacara was done to celebrate our baby – who is the first granddaughter and great granddaughter of my hubby’s family.

2. Hospital Admission on 28.06.08 – 30.06.08 (Food poisoning)

Babah had resigned from his position in IBM and Alhamdulillah he got new job based in HP Damansara. Thus, his ex colleagues (Cam+ sister, Tanchu, Wan + couple and Syed) celebrated a farewell party at The Italiannies, The Curve on Saturday 28.06.08. We had plenty of foods, and of coz, Italian foods are non-separated with herbs and spices. Oh, we got a pressie – GAP babysuit from Cam. Thanks buddy!

After went home, I had a very greasy pain in my stomach like butterflies were flying here and there. I got diarrhea too and vomit almost every single minutes. On the same day, we were actually had to pack our things to move out from Kampung Baru to a new house in Kota Damansara. I couldn’t stand the increasing pain anymore and hubby then brought me to Pusrawi as we afraid if the pain could affect our baby.

As we arrived there, a nurse took me on a wheelchair and I got an injection for Diarrhea. Oh, the pain made me felt like I was going to deliver that time. After injection, I still suffered the throbbing cramp and doctor suggested that I should be warded. 8 bottles drip were injected into my body to replace the loss fluid. 3 days life there were boring, but thanks to my friends, hubby and family for the visit, care and support. Special thanks to Babah lah, because he was the one who ran from Kg. Baru and Damansara for the move out business. He even missed out the Euro finale match because of my pain and the transfer. Babah, mama really appreciate your SACRIFE!

I got MC until 2 July 2008. During my hospitalization, nurses came to check me n baby’s condition every 4 hours. Luckily, baby was fine.Alhamdulillah. Whewwww, Doctor concluded that herbs and spices had caused the food poisoning. (Errrr, is there any possibility the food poisoning was due to Machiato coffee that I drank before 2 glasses of iced lemon tea?) Whatever! Oh, then I shall not step my feet to the Italiannies anymore! .

3. 7th Check Up Experience on 5 July 2008

Ha, I really like to tell the story of our check up. This time, our Gynea had been changed from Dr. Daud to Dr. Salleh. Dr. Salleh was the one who supervised me during the hospital admission and he is a specialist too. So, an initial appointment that supposed to be on 1 July was then changed to 5 July 08. (Remember, I was still warded on 1 July). Through the ultrasound screen we saw our baby yawning 5 times, like she was so sleepy and ermmmmmmm she was so adorable! Dr. Salleh even laughed looking at her and Babah too was super excited eyeing at his daughter. As I had reached 8 months of pregnancy, the next appointment was scheduled on 19 July 2008.

4.Gathering at Kak Ida’s house on 6 July 2008

Kak Ida, my ex colleague celebrated her birthday and Aqil little son plus a gathering for all of us. Who attended the makan2? Aju, Abg danny and newborn Adeef + Nadhiah, Kamal and little princess Putri and niece Qasrina, + Kak Lin + Me n hubby + Adam’s family + Myra and Ganesh (my ex boss hehe). I went there not for eat (steamboat, cakes, pudding etc etc delicious foods ermmmmmm) but to meet my best buddies in Pacnet. Hopefully, we could gather again some time. Yeahhhhhhh, I lurve the parteyyyy.

5. 8th Check Up Experience on 19 July 2008

I was at 8 months plus. Huhu, my baby bump is now more than obvious! Our recent check up showed that the baby was sound asleep, only that I could see her hand doing was same like me. She weighted 2.058kg. Hehehe, I gained 14 kg overall during these beauty-filled months. Hopefully, she won’t be too big, as I planned to give normal birth. InsyaAllah.

That’s all folkies. Wheww, finally I could finish up typing the major events that had happened in my life lately. Not to mention here, the bad day I went through when I had to clean the new house (hehe, still sick that time), the “broke-down-car” day, etc etc. To finalise, I am now reaching the finale months of pregnancy. What my next days would be like????

Ultraman Lives Action at Sungei Wang Plaza

Adam dan Babah
Adam dan Babah

Recently, mama and babah took Adam and Aqil (sons of Kak Ida and Apek – -> Kak Ida was my former officemate in PacNet) pergi tengok real Ultraman exhibition at Sungei Wang plaza on 7 June 2008. A week before, babah asked mama to sms Kak Ida after he finished read The Star newspaper. He noticed the event from newspaper advertisement, I guess.

Babah wanted to bring Adam (his favourite kid) to watch real Ultraman actions. Babah likes Adam maybe because they both have similarities which is “hyper-naughty”. So looking at Adam will always remind his childhood time. Adam calls babah ‘Uncle’ dengan pelatnya yg berumur 4 tahun tuh.

We reached there as early at 1.00 pm. As Kak Ida’s car having problem, they only managed to be there at 2.30 pm. We had Mc D for lunch. Mama suka tengok little Aqil punya kerenah. Kejab ketawa pastu nangis. Mama dia nak makan pun susah, heheh. Kak Ida was busy entertaining both of her sons during that eating time thus made me wonder how it would be if I have a child soon?

The next exhibition started at 4.00 pm. The place was very crowded with children and their parents. They even started to queue at 3.30 pm just to snap picture with the ultraman (costumed-man). Unfortunately, we didn’t notice that we had to pay RM 12 to take picture with Ultramen. Since the queue was very long, we had to snap pictures out of the blue.

Adam was so fascinated that his eyes were wide open looking at the trios (Ultraman Max, Ultraman Nexus, and Ultraman Tiga). I believe babah too, was like obsessively happy. Ultramen actions were completely captivated to both of them. =) Adam didn’t want to go back home, as he wanted to be with Ultraman still. Puas kami pujuk barulah dia nak balik. That evening, we both spent our time at Kak Ida’s house.

What happen to our baby? She was safe and sound asleep. Three or four times only mama felt her kicking. On the way back home, babah said to baby, when baby grows up, Babah will bring baby to watch Barbie, Power puff Girl etc etc exhibition if any. Hehe. Baby kicked, hmm – -> she tends to agree! =)

Our 6th Check Up Experience on 3 June 2008 – My good baby GIRL

Tuesday morning, 3 June 08, mama felt very tired and dizzy (my nose was bleeding some more). So, mama decided not to come to office and wanted to visit gynea in Pusrawi. Babah pon tak gi keja as he saw me was extremely suffering the pain, dia pon cakap let me accompany you to clinic…hurrrrayyyyyyyyy! Mama hurray bukan sebab tak pegi keje (lots of works are waiting, okay!!), but hurray coz tak sabar nak see our baby inside.

Moreover, we could replace the appointment that supposed to be on Monday before. After taking nap from 8.00 – 11.30, we went to Pusrawi dalam kol 11 pagi. On the way to hospital, babah said to baby, kalau sayangkan babah and mama please show us your gender. Hehe..Babah and mama can’t wait any longer to knowing our baby.

We have to wait almost 3 hours because priorities were given to mommies yg buat appointment for that day. Mama kali neh met up Dr. Daud. I read in forum that this Doc talk very fast however he is very friendly. Correcto! He talked so fast, made me frown to capture his words. But, his knowledge is so power, and he could determine what I’ve eaten until my body weight increased around 11 kg during this period of pregnancy. Yah, it is a tremendous figure whereby expectant mother should has below 10 kg increment for 2nd trimester.

No wonder, I got stretch mark under my belly despite of my routine – -> pouring Palmer’s lotion on my belly. I just notice that is due to skin expansion. The more I eat zero nutrition ( eg, choc cake, ice cream, junk food etc) , the more my dermis press the skin. Nak buat macam mana, bulan 5 saja dh berapa kali mama makan kek sambut besday kawan lah , adik lah, etc. Itu belom kira my craving for pizzas, spaghetti, bla bla bla. My nosebleed because of body lacking of iron, acid folic, and calcium thus I need more vegetables, dairy products and meat. My Hemoglobin rate also low, only 10.1 (supposed to be around 11.5 -12.5). Doc said I must control my eating pattern. If not, I might face high blood pressure that would lead to edema (swollen leg), cramp and diabetes.

Oh no, why I never heard such advises from other Gynea before???? Huhu. Welcoming this final trimester (next Friday!) , babah and mama promise to be more cautious when eating. Healthy food for everyday! (babah had to promise too, because he is the main person who influence my craving for non-nutritious food. Hehe)

Again to us, Dr. Daud is the best gynea we ever met. When he checked my belly, for almost 10 mins (longer than other gynea did) he asked so many questions. He questioned on how many times, I got dream about having a girl or boy. How many boy or girl in both of our family? Bla bla bla. It was a hilarious conversation but still we were both very suspense. Lastly, he showed the baby’s genital organ, which had confirmed that — > our baby is a GIRL! Huarraayyyyyyyyyyyy..Alhamdulillah. Betul pon expectation babah selama ini.

Baby lak comel sungguh, tgk ke screen during scanning. Doc said, she was hungry that her tongue licking her lips (mama felt guilty coz mama not yet having breakfast masa tuh T_T ). We heard her heart beat sound too. Alhamdulillah, mama bersyukur because everything is fine. Mama had an injection to avoid kancing gigi. Sakit! Till now mama rasa sakit huhuhu. Oh ya, at the same time mama requested a referral letter and mc slip from Doc. Referral letter would be used untuk travel ke Sandakan this mid month.Next appointment would be on 1 July 2008. Mama nak Dr. Daud jugak hehe.

Oh ya, sebab nak meraikan our baby girl yang dengar cakap, we went to MidValley. Belikan baju jalan for baby (from Poney lengkap dengan Baby Kiko organza-headband). Tak sabar lagi nak beli baby nyer barang next month. Hmm..stroller Esprit pink yg mama dh banyak kali survey tuh, tungguuu..ermmm will grab it soon.=)

Aju and her newborn baby – Adeef Feizal

Congratulations to Aju n Abang Danny! On 24 May 2008, Aju had safely delivered a cute and healthy baby boy named Adeef Feizal (not sure the spelling correct or not) after 12 hours suffering labor pain. Whew, it sounds scary, and since her mother-will was there, she had successfully overcame the pain and gained her spirit to keep pushing Adiff out the womb! How I salute Aju and all mommies out there. Normal birth isn’t easy and yet it is terribly painful!

Adiff Feizal

See he is sucking his thumb

She was admitted on Friday, at where her water bag broke! Kak Ida, and me were busy SMSing each other praying that Aju would be fine and the baby inside safe too! Only on 24th, I received sms that everything went fine! Alhamdulillah.

Yesterday, we visited Aju n her baby in PPUM! Accompanied by Fizah and Kak Lin, I felt it was like a small gathering (but tak syiokk coz our always-be-mastermind – ->Kak Ida wasn’t there as she went to Malacca with her family). Seronok betul seeing Aju n her baby plus her hubby Abg Danny, because we all very curious to hear their experiences – - > the chronicles of how Adeef was born out to this world! All panic, anxiety, worries, and 1001 feeling they have had, made me believe that I might face it someday! Babah also asked the couple about their experience and I noticed Babah was trying to put himself in that situation. I guess we’re both kind of scared of what’s going to happen once our baby is going to be born! Huhu

Auntie Im wanna kiss Adiff
Auntie Im wanna kiss Adeef..see my baby bump..!

A little additional notes of my current condition! Since my uterus grows even larger, it has press more on my back and pelvis, which had cause periodic shooting pains in my lower back and legs. I’ve tried stretching, switching positions during asleep as well as taking a warm bath to relieve the stress. The pressure is more on my bladder and I am actively practicing Kegel Exercise to strengthen my pelvic floor muscles.

Approximately 3 months to go ! 3 months are just a ‘short time’ – -> according to Aju. Hmm, it’s time for both of us to be more prepared!

Balik kampung on 10 May 2008

Yey..nothing to do at office now plus boss not yet coming! I nak pull out reader’s attention on our vacation to Langkawi (actually balik kampung ahaha). I was really homesick, so in April I pujuk hubby nk jugak balik kampung. Hubby agreed and that time Air Asia was promoting their free tickets. After book, we only paid RM 283.00 for 2 pax. We departed from LCCT on Saturday 10 May 08. I was extremely excited! Yelah, that was baby first time balik kampung mama (last time visit was on our wedding Dec 2007). Can u imagine, almost every month we travel. January to Sandakan, February nowhere, March again to Sandakan, April to Malacca. Thus, let’s May be the month for balik kampung!

I was actually balik kampung to taste mangga yang tok wan bb planted in front of our house! The manggo taste is so different from any find in market. The seed was taken from India..isi buah mangga ni sedap sangat! Other than that, I was also craving my mom’s cooking specially sambal ikan bilis petai..ahak ahak..So masa sampai jer kat rumah, makanan yang dihidang sangatlah banyak..Hubby pon penat nak makan. My sister pulak went to pasar malam bought satey, bihun sup utara, etc etc foods.

The weather was so different in Langkawi –> hujan and sejuk that time, bestnya tido time hujan (tido dlm bilik pengantin lagi..ngehehehe). On 11 May, we both send tok mak ngn tok wan bebi together with Pack Cik bb (my bro Firdaus) to jetty Kuah. My brother got pursues his study in Matriculation College somewhere in Kuala Nerang. His registration day was on 12 May, so my parents wanted to overnight in Alor Star.

After that, we went to Pantai tanjung Rhu because babah never been there. Ambil gambar jerlah. Malu lah nak post the picture because my baby bump dah obvious..huhuhu.. Malam tuh, we both brought my sisters Ina and Linda to Cenang. Makan – makan tepi pantai. Takdelah sedap sangat, sebab malas masak makan kat luar lah..heheh. Babah nak balik awal coz he wanted to watch the final match of MU. Nasib baik MU menang huhu.

Esoknya, we went shopping kat Idaman Suri – -> beli pinggan mangkuk . Ceramic made gold flower pattern. Haha, beli and simpan for our new house. Petang tuh we went to langkawi Parade makan Merrybrown..pastuh shopping chocolates then lepak jer kat rumah.

Our flight was at 10.00 pm..around 9 pm we moved to airport..huhu sedih.. …. Arrived home around 2 am in the morning..Hmm it’s was such a short stay..but untuk lepaskan homesick mama, kira okaylahhhh

May 2008 – 5th Checking Experience on 5.05.2008 – Our Baby still shy..

Alamak..lambat update recent check up on 5 May 2008. (Sorry, because of so much works to do at office, this blog has been left away sometimes). Mama got fever dat day so not going to work. Nowadays so hot lah. Even at night, we tuned the fan’s speed to 3 (maximum wind speed capacity) but still sweat! What had happened to Malaysia’s weather, especially at night?

That Monday, I took MC! Instead of visiting normal clinic we went to meet My Gynea. So we had cancelled our appointment that should be on 10 May 08. Oh ya, on 10 May 08 we went back to my home-sweet-home – -> Langkawi. (I’ll tell the story in next page.)

As usual, my check up routine went smooth. During the ultrasound imaging, we saw our baby in tenderly, was sucking her thumb. When doctor pressing the ultrasound device against my middle belly, she was wiggling and let her thumb out. Marah agaknya kita kacau dia yer. Babah lah yang super excited looking at the screen. Unfortunately, Doc didn’t snap that pix. If not, we could keep that image. Sedih!

In a joyful of looking that sweet moment, Dr. Norkedah broke news that made me frantically worry up till now. Our baby was in a breech position! Doc said it’s still early to mend the condition and that position was normal because baby’s movement is always very unpredictable. If at 5 months she is at breech position (songsang), she will soon move in transverse lines (melintang) and would be back to normal position (where her head down under the uterus) when the labour time has reached.

As I was semi-trust on doctor’s words, I called my both mommies (mine and in-law) to ask the issue. Fortunately, they both agree that baby’s movement is always like that. Fuhh, selamat. However, when I discuss this with my friends, most of them said it’s kinda dangerous too! If no prevention, soon I might draw-in a caesarean-section delivery. Most advise I heard – -> Better pergi berurut to turn the breech presentation! Hmmm..I don’t dare to take any risk!! Finally I decided to let the process goes with the flow. Hopefully everything is fine! InsyaAllah.

Because of her breech position, Doc was still unable to identify her gender. Baby kept mama and babah wondering about her gender! She is so shy to show off. Predictable – -> She is a girl! Mama and babah again have to be super patient with our baby, who seems like to play this kinda tricky hide-and-seek game. Whatever it is, mama and babah still sayang-sayang baby.

Oh ya, one more thing to update is about our next-baby-shopping day, on the day before the check up. We went to Sunway Pyramid, bought additional stuffs for babies. New stuffs are baby play gym and extra cute mittens, booties and baby’s outfits. Together with 2 presents given by uncle Karl and Aunt Ada (Babah besties), our baby now has 9 outfits inclusive with pairs of mittens-booties and 3 cute caps/hats. So, we are waiting our next wages to buy more and more necessities for her. Praying the day to come ASAP. Yey!

p/s: Baca tanpa komen macam makan tak basuh tangan..hahaa..your comments are most welcomed! Thanks so much =p

Our Antenatal Class at Pantai Medical Center, Cheras (20 April 2008).

Yesterday, babah had to send Tok Haji, Inak n Pong Pong (cousin in law) to LCCT before going to our antenatal Class at Pantai Medical Center. Yeah, we had few guests recently. As the class started at 10.00 am, Babah woke up as early at 6.00 am in the morning. Kesian babah, he was very tired. Thought of that, I pon woke up early and iron our clothes and prepared breakfast. Then, when babah arrived home at 8.30, we had nasi goreng and omelet for breakfast.

We reached at Pantai Medical Center, Cheras around 9.30 am. Sharp on registration time! We got a Goodie Beg after register! In the Goodie bag, there is a sample of Mamy Poko diaper, Anmum booklet, stemcell flyers, keychain, biscuits, packets of milk, etc. Oh I need to I highlight here – this is a free antenatal course which I get from NST paper last weekend. A budget of RM100 per couple is compulsory to attending the same class in Pusrawi, so why not just grabbed this free opportunity kan? Even though it’s a free class, but the staff gave us stars services and more to add we also had tea break and lunch meals. Lauk2 yang dihidangkan pun best, cam tak caye jer ini FREE! Muahahah… ;p!
Most of participants are Chinese. However there was also an Indian couple, and few Malay couples. Lectures were about

* Nutrition for Mother and Baby
* Process of Labour
* Pain Control Proramme
* Pre -Natal Exercises, Breathing Exercises
* Lactation and Breast Feeding (Anmum nih dok promote susu derang lah pulok!)
* Stem Cell
* Immunisation and Vaccine

For me, the best part that I gave my full concentration was during the lecture about process of labour .  I could feel the pain looking at slides and images of labour process. What I can say is: Dreadfully painful! But eh, my baby was also actively kicking during this speech part. Oh dah tak sabar nk keluar eh?

So that was the story about our class. I shouldn’t have to brief in details ;P . I hope my baby is born through normal childbirth. If I had to deliver through caesarian-section ermm…that’s gonna be pretty hard for us. Not only that we have to consider the high cost, but the length of recovery will take some time too. I found this class is totally a rewarding experience to us. Not only it taught us about antenatal in overall, we also learnt few little things of parenthood journey. I bought several books during early stages of my pregnancy but attending the class made bunch load difference. Furthermore, babah was involved too, so hopefully he would know what he’s gotten me into. Hehehe…

Now babah can also feel when baby kicking as he put his palm on my belly. Oh ya, we have created a lovely song for our baby. Lyrics plus song play with guitar (babah nyer idea creative!-sayang babah). Every night before sleep, we both sing the Bintang Kecil (song title) for our baby. She likes it very much – I can tell. Yelah, she will kick kick and kick me whenever we sing the song for her..hehehe
